StaffTravel is a specially discounted rate, with a guaranteed seat for airline and ATC employees. Prices are up to 80% cheaper in some cases.

AMA Waterways

Primary eligibility for airline employees

To be considered an “Eligible Airline Employee,” a person must be:

  • Current full-time employee of a domestic or international commercial passenger airline.

  • Current employee of Federal Express (FedEx), Astar Air Cargo (formerly DHL Airways), Airborne Express, or UPS.

  • A retired employee of a domestic or international commercial airline.

Cabin Eligibility

Whenever a cabin guest is an “Eligible Airline Employee”:

  • All other guests in the same cabin will be eligible for the interline rate.

  • You can book an additional cabin at the StaffTravel rate.

Identification

Eligible airline employees must present valid proof of employment in the form of a current ID card issued by the airline or company in question.

Retired employees or retired pilots must present a retirement ID card or an official letter from Human Resources.

Current full-time employees of:

  • Passenger airlines (excluding charter airlines).

  • Shipping companies: FedEx, UPS, DHL, Airborne.

  • CRS employees at Sabre, Worldspan, Galileo/Apollo, Travelport, or Amadeus.

  • Amtrak.

  • Cruise line employees.

  • Travel agents with valid identification.

Eligibility for additional cabins

If the interline employee is staying in a cabin, up to two additional cabins can be booked at the interline rate.

Eligible family members

  • Spouse.

  • Parents.

  • Dependent children under the age of 21.

Retired Employees

  • You can book a stateroom at the StaffTravel rate, and the retired employee MUST travel in that stateroom.

To be an Eligible Airline Employee, a person must be:

  • Current employee with flight benefits from a domestic or international commercial airline.

  • Current employee of FedEx, Airborne Express, or UPS.

  • Spouse or partner of an active airline employee.

  • Parents of a current airline employee.

  • Retired employee of a commercial airline or cargo company.

Cabin Eligibility

  • All guests in the same cabin receive the interline rate.

  • Each airline employee may book up to two additional cabins under the StaffTravel fare.

Full-time employees at:

  • Passenger airlines.

  • UPS.

  • FedEx.

  • Amtrak.

  • IATA.

Retired employees of current or defunct airlines may reserve a cabin and must travel in it.

To be eligible for a StaffTravel rate, a person must be:

  • Parents and in-laws.

  • Retired employee of a commercial or cargo airline.

  • Widow or widower of eligible employees or retirees.

Cabin Eligibility

  • All guests in the same cabin receive the StaffTravel rate.

  • An additional cabin can be booked at the StaffTravel rate.

  • An additional second cabin may be reserved if it is to be occupied by extended family.

  • A maximum of three cabins per eligible guest.

StaffTravel rates are special discounts for employees of commercial and cargo airlines.

StaffTravel rates are valid for Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, and Disneyland.

  • Current employees of scheduled passenger airlines.
  • Retired from commercial passenger airlines.
  • Maximum of 2 rooms or cabins per reservation.
  • The airline employee MUST be part of the traveling group.

Employees of cargo airlines such as FedEx or UPS are NOT eligible.

Eligible StaffTravel

  • Current employees of domestic or international commercial airlines.

  • Current employees of travel agencies or hotels.

  • Spouse, partner, parents, in-laws, and dependent children.

  • Pilots for cargo airlines such as FedEx, DHL, or UPS.

  • Retired employees of active airlines.

  • Widows and widowers with flight benefits.

Ineligible

  • Temporary employees, interns, or contractors.

  • Helicopter operators or private/charter airlines.

StaffTravel fares are subject to the same booking terms and conditions as standard passenger fares. The only difference is the savings or promotional discount applied to the booking. Other than that, all procedures and conditions remain exactly the same.

A partner or friend of an interline guest may stay with them in the same suite.

According to the Standard Operating Procedure for the Explora Journeys interline program:

The spouse, domestic partner, parents, in-laws, and dependent children of an interline employee may book a suite even if the interline employee is not traveling.

The policy does not specify eligibility for brothers or sisters of airline employees under the StaffTravel fare.

No points will be awarded for trips or for purchases of Destination Experiences or onboard services when the reduced fare is applied.

Eligible passengers

Current and retired employees, defined as employees of international, regional, courier, and cargo airlines designated by IATA/ARC, or current employees of GDS providers.

To be eligible, the employee's specific position must include flight benefits through their company.

If an eligible interline employee is traveling, they may book up to 3 additional rooms for family members or friends.

Eligible family members

Eligible family members include:

  • Spouses

  • Parents

  • In-laws

  • Children

Eligible family members traveling without the eligible interline employee may book up to 4 cabins at the interline rate, provided there is at least one eligible family member in each cabin.

Eligibility Test

HAL will review all interline reservations and request proof of eligibility.

IMPORTANT NOTICE!  Reservations made with interline fares on Holland America may be canceled with a full refund after confirmation to accommodate guests with higher fares.

HX Expeditions allows you to book up to two additional cabins for family or friends, provided that the interliner is traveling and subject to availability at the time of booking.

  • Dependent children.

Includes employees from:

  • Domestic or international commercial airlines.
  • GDS providers such as Travtech, Travel Tech, ReveleX, Amadeus, Odysseus, etc.
  • Domestic courier services such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL.
  • Transportation and lodging (Amtrak, cruise lines, hotels, etc.).

Up to three additional cabins may travel with the eligible interline guest on the same ship and departure date at reduced interline rates.

Eligible for the StaffTravel discount.

  • Current or retired airline employees.

  • FedEx, DHL, and UPS employees.

  • The employee's spouse.

  • Employee's dependent children.

  • The employee's parents and in-laws.

Spouses and parents may travel separately from the employee.

Additional cabins

Employees may book one additional cabin at the StaffTravel rate, subject to availability, provided that the employee is traveling.

The employee's parents and in-laws may book one cabin at the StaffTravel rate if the employee is NOT traveling.

Retirees may book one cabin at the StaffTravel rate.

Verification

Norwegian Cruise Line requires proof of eligibility from StaffTravel immediately after the booking is confirmed. Without valid proof, Norwegian Cruise Line reserves the right to adjust the price to the applicable public fare prior to departure.

  • Current airline employees and their spouses, dependent children, parents, and parents-in-law.

  • Retired airline employees, including those from defunct airlines.

  • Friends or companions sharing a cabin with current or retired employees.

  • Employees of shipping companies such as FedEx and pilot/air traffic controller associations.

Additional cabins

At Oceania Cruises’ discretion, a second stateroom may be booked at the StaffTravel rate on select sailings, provided that the eligible employee is traveling.

Terms and Conditions

It must be a new reservation made within 90 days of departure.

You cannot cancel and rebook an existing reservation to get the StaffTravel rate.

Verification

Oceania Cruises requires proof of StaffTravel eligibility immediately after the reservation is confirmed.

Without valid proof, Oceania Cruises reserves the right to adjust the price to the applicable published rate prior to departure.

Passengers eligible for the StaffTravel program.

  • Airline Pilots' Association (ALPA).

Airline employees or retirees MUST be traveling to use StaffTravel fares.

Paul Gauguin Cruises requires proof of eligibility from StaffTravel immediately after the reservation is confirmed.

Without valid proof, Paul Gauguin Cruises reserves the right to adjust the price to the applicable published rate prior to departure.

StaffTravel rates are special discounts for employees of commercial and cargo airlines.

Starting in 2024, the program allows each cabin with an eligible employee to add additional cabins for friends and family on the same trip at an interline fare.

Availability is limited, and proof of eligibility may be required.

  • Sales associates with flight benefits.

  • The employee's parents and in-laws.

  • Friends sharing accommodations with eligible travelers.

Additional cabins

Eligible StaffTravel members can receive an additional cabin for friends or family, subject to availability.

Verification

Regent requires proof of eligibility from StaffTravel immediately after the reservation is confirmed.

Without valid proof, Regent reserves the right to adjust the price to the applicable published rate prior to departure.

To be eligible, a person must:

  • Current employee of a domestic or international commercial airline.

  • Current employee of FedEx, Airborne Express, or UPS.

  • Spouse or partner of an active airline employee.

  • Parents of a current airline employee.

  • Retired employee of a commercial airline or cargo company.

Cabin Eligibility

Whenever a cabin guest is eligible:

  • All guests in the same cabin will receive the StaffTravel rate.

  • Each airline employee may book up to two additional cabins under the StaffTravel fare per departure.

  • If two employees are traveling in the same cabin, they can book up to 5 cabins in total.

Identification

Current employees must present a photo of their current employee ID card.

Retired employees must present proof of retirement or an official letter from their former employer confirming their retirement.

Failure to present valid documentation may result in being charged the public fare or being denied boarding.

To be eligible for StaffTravel rates, guests must fall into one of the following categories:

  • Current or retired airline employees.
  • Current or retired cruise line employees.
  • Current or retired employees of major courier or freight companies.

The parents and parents-in-law of the eligible employees mentioned above may travel with up to one additional cabin.

Proof required at the time of booking:

  • A valid airline ID (e.g., an ID card issued by the company).
  • Retirees may need additional documentation (such as a letter from Human Resources or a retirement benefits card).

Program benefits:

Airline and cruise line employees are eligible for 1 cabin reserved for themselves + 1 additional cabin at StaffTravel rates.

To qualify as a StaffTravel guest:

  • Current or retired airline employee or cargo airline pilot.
  • Spouse, parents, or in-laws of an active airline employee or cargo airline pilot.
  • Dependent children of an active airline employee or cargo airline pilot.
  • Retired employees of defunct airlines.

Guests must provide Seabourn with proof of eligibility within a certain number of days after making the reservation:

Days before departure → deadline for submitting proof of eligibility:

  • 0–45 days → 1 day
  • 46–60 days → 2 days
  • 61+ days → 3 days

Payment can be made before submitting proof of eligibility.

Seabourn reserves the right to convert a StaffTravel booking to a public rate if the required documentation is not received.

Eligibility is limited to two suites per trip for each eligible employee.

These rates are valid only for guaranteed Ocean View or Veranda suites.

The final suite assignment will be made within two weeks prior to departure and is at the sole discretion of Seabourn.

  • Current and retired airline employees.

Any airline employee with valid identification may bring a guest to share the same cabin at the same fare.

A copy of the airline employee's valid ID must be attached to the StaffTravel fare request.

CrewVoyages can offer StaffTravel fares to all IATA/ARC airline employees, their spouses, dependent children, parents, and retired staff.

Parents can travel separately from the employee and still receive the StaffTravel discount.

A non-airline companion may share a suite with any eligible person and receive the StaffTravel discount.

Cruise line employees are also eligible.

A StaffTravel guest can book two suites for the same trip using a single payment method.

Payment for the second suite must be made by the StaffTravel guest.

Proof of eligibility is required at the time of final payment.

THIS CRUISELINE ONLY ACCEPTS STAFF WHO RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES OR CANADA.

  • Airline employees.
  • The employee's spouse.
  • Employee's dependent children.
  • The employee's parents.
  • Retired employees and their spouses.
  • Friends are eligible when they share a cabin with an eligible StaffTravel member.

The employee does not need to travel with the eligible family member.

Star Clippers requires proof of eligibility immediately after the reservation is confirmed.

Without valid proof, Star Clippers reserves the right to adjust the price to the applicable published rate prior to departure.

This cruiseline allows you to book:

-1 cabin for the employee (where guests may stay)

-1 additional berth for family or friends.

  • Current airline employees and a guest sharing the same room.

The following immediate family members of an active airline employee are eligible for the StaffTravel fare in a second cabin, but must travel with the airline employee:

  • Parents of a current airline employee.
  • Dependent children of an active airline employee.
  • Retired airline employees.

THIS CRUISELINE ONLY ACCEPTS STAFF WHO RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES OR CANADA.

  • Airline employees.
  • CRS providers (Amadeus, SABRE, etc.).
  • Air Express carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc.).
  • Immediate family members of the above (spouse and dependent children).
  • The parents and parents-in-law of the aforementioned individuals.
  • Retired employees from the above categories.

Proof of employment must be provided along with payment.

At least one eligible StaffTravel adult must be staying in each reserved cabin.

StaffTravel rates are available to verified current or retired airline employees.

The rates may apply to:

  • 1 airline employee cabin.
  • Up to 3 additional guest cabins per trip.

StaffTravel rates may also be offered to:

  • Spouses or parents of verified active or retired airline employees, even if the airline employee is not traveling.

This allows you to:

  • 1 cabin for a spouse or parents.
  • Up to 3 additional guest cabins.

In-laws are not eligible for these benefits.

StaffTravel rates are a standalone offer and cannot be combined with other promotions or public offers.

Employees of airlines, spouses, parents, in-laws, retirees, and spouses of retirees from international, regional, commuter, or cargo airlines with a valid IATA/ARC designation.

An additional cabin is available for friends and family; a total of two (2) cabins per departure.

The employee’s or retiree’s spouse, parents, and in-laws may travel without the employee or retiree being present.
